American democracy is under threat. How do we protect it?

In the past decade, liberal democracies around the world have been attacked from within, and the United States is no exception. Democratic decline is of increased importance in a presidential election year in which many expect there to be challenges to the results, similar to those we saw in 2020.   

On June 17, join Governance Studies in the Brookings Institution for a webinar about democratic decline in the United States. Panelists will discuss threats to American democracy as well as responses to this emerging challenge from both public institutions and civil society.
